Description
A contemporary, baroque interpretation of the geranium – sophisticated, mysterious and classically elegant. PELARGONIUM stages the complex beauty of the “rose du pauvre” – the Pelargonium graveolens – in a scent that seems like a liquid still life.
The perfumer Nathalie Feisthauer breathes new life into this often underestimated ingredient: Instead of a floral lightness, a balsamic, almost incense-like depth emerges. Extracted from the leaves – not the flowers – the geranium essence acts like a dark, velvety veil that wraps around delicate notes of iris, smoky vetiver from Haiti and mossy woods.
A cool accord of orris root rests on a cedar wood frame, infused with golden accents of Calabrian bergamot and green cardamom. Elemi resin gives the scent a lemony spice, while clary sage and carrot seeds add a velvety warmth. The composition ends in a harmonious, almost meditative depth.
PELARGONIUM appears in the signature AEDES bottle: fluted glass, peacock blue accent, matte black cap – a fragrance that is a work of art both visually and olfactorily.
A perfume of calm power and subtle sophistication – timelessly beautiful and unforgettable.
