While Duro celebrates masculinity, Narcotic V. (previously Narcotic Venus) is entirely dedicated to the feminine. The fragrance is the result of a search for the overwhelming and irresistible intensity of women. The name “Narcotic Venus” refers to the beguiling effect to the point of dependence and is a homage to Venus, the goddess of love, ultimate femininity and sensuality. With this composition, The Nose wanted to capture the moment of irresistible attraction. A woman, a look as she passes by, the feeling of not being able to tear herself away.

Historically, the flower has been celebrated as a symbol of women. For The Nose, the woman is a wild flower who blooms with her charm and seduces by displaying her beguiling sexuality.

Narcotic V. is an extremely intense, floral scent that is reminiscent of the provocative smell of tuberose. The Nose inspired this composition from one of his many furiously confusing rendezvous. On a trip to Brazil he first encountered the exotic Monguba flower, whose smell he reproduced for the combination. Another encounter occurred during a visit to the hospital. This expectedly sterile and scent-free room was suddenly filled with the luscious scent of a bouquet brought by a visitor. The intoxicating sweetness of the flowers caught The Nose completely unexpectedly.
