Against the backdrop of mountainous terrain, two communities live peacefully side by side. Yet despite their proximity, the societies are clearly unique. The macaques frolic among the trees and enjoy the rich delights of nature. From the quiet solemnity of a nearby temple, their human neighbors watch them and covet the monkeys’ playful insouciance. The macaques hardly notice them and only cast a brief, curious glance at the thoughtful faces below them before they return to their carefree activities.

Sweet notes of yuzu dance through a pine forest and welcome you to Zoologist Macaque. Frankincense adds weight to the fragrance with aromas of hinoki wood and myrrh. The delicate balance between heavy and light results in a strong, woody scent with mild notes of creamy sandalwood. Macaque is exuberance tempered by calm, majesty sustained by joy, a happy harmony of meditative bliss.

This perfume is a reinterpretation by perfumer Mackenzie Reilly. The original version, designed by Sarah McCartney, is no longer available.
