Description
Giant lotus flowers split to make way for buds that pierce the surface of the jade green pond. They stretch their faces towards the sun, its delicate scent wafting around them. Tiny dragonfly nymphs also emerge from the shallows in the shade of the flowers. They spread their fragile wings and timidly explore the world beyond the water. The shimmering pools of the nearby golden rice fields attract the dragonflies. Their long, trembling bodies scurry across the cascading terraces to settle on the swaying stalks, where the sunlight sparkles in the drops on the iridescent wings.
Like a lotus spreading its petals, Zoologist Dragonfly opens with an onslaught of beautiful aquatic blossoms. Hints of rice, powdery iris and mimosa spread in a lush green coat beneath the familiar aroma of an impending summer rain. Dragonfly embodies the richness and romance of Impressionism, a floral canvas beneath a watery veil.
This perfume is a new interpretation by perfumer Celine Barel. The original version, designed by Juan Perez, is no longer available.
