Description
Leaving the fables aside, what remains is a waxy dark material that forms in the sperm whales’ digestive tract and then floats on the ocean’s surface. Exposed to the sun and wind, it will one day be washed onto a beach and collected there.
Can you imagine anything rarer? This material is endowed with an extremely persistent, intense and sensual smell, which is why it was inevitably used in areas associated with eroticism.
In many oriental countries it was consumed as an aphrodisiac. The Venetian master perfumers of the 18th century used it generously and of course Giacomo Casanova couldn’t do without it either. The most valuable ambergris is the “Flottée” ambergris. Through the long natural drying process and the long drift at sea, the ambergris matures and develops a scent that is too complex even for the extensive vocabulary of the world of fragrances.
In our creation, we enriched the aphrodisiac character of natural amber with rose absolute, vanilla absolute and musk. The result is a long-lasting, seductive scent experience.
