« 1996 « was inspired by the photograph of a young girl titled « »Kirsten 1996″ », taken that year by photographers Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin. For them, « »this image represents the duality that underlies our work and our life together. » »
The 1996 fragrance is the sensitive interpretation of the image by Ben Groham, Creative Director of BYREDO. A warm blend of black pepper, leather and patchouli. Each box is decorated with a ‘Kirsten 1996’ photograph.
